France - Laboratoire A.I.M. Groupe Gerolymatos S.A.S.

Our Group’s involvement with Laboratoire A.I.M. begun in 2005 in the form of a Joint Venture. Over the years, our involvement in the company increased and presently our Group’s articipation is over 85% of the share capital, with full control over the company’s day-to-day management and operations. Laboratoire A.I.M. focuses on the production of filtered sea water, the essential raw material for the production of all our sea water-based brands. Aside from our Group’s products, Laboratoire A.I.M. also sells sea water to a number of companies with well-established sea water-based brands, and is thus recognized as a reliable raw material supplier in this market. Laboratoire A.I.M. controls the production of filtered sea water pumped from a licensed installation in Cancale, on the French coast of Brittany. Brittany experiences some of the strongest tidal action in the world. This huge and constant movement of sea water ensures water consistency, purity and lack of contamination, yielding sea water of the highest quality. Our source is one of the few sea water sources operating under the license and strict control of the French Water Authorities and which satisfies the standards imposed by the French Ministry of Health. Our sea water is therefore, of premium quality enabling us and our customers to obtain pharmaceutical registration of our final product wherever it is necessary to do so. Strategically, this vertical integration through the acquisition of Laboratoire A.I.M. enhances our Group’s control over the raw material that is essential for the production of our core product, Sinomarin®, both in terms of undisrupted supply and in terms of raw material quality.

Italy - Foltene Laboratories S.p.A.

Foltene Laboratories S.p.A., located in Milan, Italy, was originally a subsidiary of Crinos Industria Farmacobiologica S.p.A., an Italian pharmaceutical company founded in 1944. Currently, part of the Gerolymatos International corporate network, Foltιne laboratories are recognized as a major global player with a long tradition in the development and commercialization of innovative safe and effective cosmetic hair products. The laboratory’s key brands include anti-hair loss treatments for men and women based on the natural oligosaccharide mixtures Tricosaccaride® and Tricalgoxyl®. These unique products -present in the pharmacy channel under the Foltιne® Pharma brand- capitalize on experience derived through more than 50 years of research and 41 published clinical trials, and have received global recognition placing Foltιne in a strong market position in several markets. Notably, Foltιne® Pharma comprises a complete range of hair-care products (treatments, shampoos, conditioners and food supplements) and specific cosmetic solutions for eyelashes and nails. Foltιne’s recent developments include a unique foam formulation of the anti-hair loss treatments for men and women that have already been launched in a number of markets including the USA. Foltιne Laboratories is currently investing heavily in the extensive revival of its product range, envisioning the expansion of its international presence. These efforts are expected to bear fruits in 2012.
